It is with great sadness that we pass on the news of the passing of Life Member, past President and player Brian Cusack. 
 

 

Debuting in the clubs foundation year of 1968 as player number 14, Brian would go onto play 103 games from 1968 until 1981 (25 in the 1st XI, 67in the 2nd XI and 11 in the 3rd XI). 
 

 

Although proficient with both bat and ball , Brian was a renowned opening bowler with the second XI where he took 235 wickets, the 2nd most ever in the history of SBOCCC 2nd XI.

 

 

Brian to this date has still taken the 8th most wickets in the club's history with 303.

With the bat Brian also made 792 runs,

Brian was named as an opening bowler in the St Bernard’s OCCC 2nd XI team of the half Century.

Brian was a 3 time premiership player, Captain of the 2nd XI 1974/75 and 1977/78 Premiership Teams and a member of the 3rd XI 1978/79 team.

 

 

Off field, Brian was club president from 1979-1981 before being inducted as a life member.
